(WASHINGTON, D.C.) - Both of our area congressmen have announced their making of waves recently on Capitol Hill.

4th District Republican Congressman Steve Buyer has teamed up with North Carolina Senator Richard Burr to introduce a bill, called the Noble Warrior Act, to change the way the Department of Defense and VA compensate veterans who have become disabled from the military duties.

9th District Democratic Congressman Baron Hill has teamed up with Tennessee Republican Congressman Zach Wamp in proposing a new ethics bill in congress.

House Resolution 1754, the House Ethics Commission Establishment Act is now being considered to create an independent committee to investigate ethics violations, the idea being to avoid congressmen investigating congressmen for Congressional ethics violations.
