Another Democrat Tosses In Congressional Run Hat
(INDIANAPOLIS) - Another Democrat steps into the race to fill the seat of late Congresswoman Julia Carson.
Democratic State Representative Carolene Mays announced Friday that she filed paperwork for the primary election in spring.
Mays is the publisher of the Indianapolis Recorder. She's currently serving her third term in the Indiana General Assembly.
She'll be running against Andre Carson. He's the grandson of the late 7th district congresswoman. He's also running in a special election March 11th to fill the seat until January.
