(FORT WAYNE) - Sen. David Ford’s colleagues have signed on as second authors of bills he filed this session and plan to push his 2008 legislative proposals through the process.
Ford, a four-term Republican lawmaker from Hartford City, is hospitalized and fighting cancer-- news that shocked lawmakers around the Statehouse on Tuesday.
He was admitted to Fort Wayne's Lutheran Hospital last week after suffering from flu-like symptoms and underwent surgery the next day.
Family members have flown in from other parts of the country to be together.
