(INDIANAPOLIS) - Republican leaders are sending State Representative John Elrod as their candidate to finish the term of late Congresswoman Julia Carson.
He was the pick Sunday in Republican caucuses. Elrod faces Democratic Councilman Andre Carson--Julia's grandson.
A special election for the 7th Congressional District will be held March 11th.
