Former Gary Advisor Found Guilty Of Fraud

(HAMMOND) - A top adviser to a former Gary mayor has been convicted in a scheme to defraud the city of 1.5 million dollars.

Jewell Harris Sr. was found guilty of fraud and money laundering in a scheme that involved double-billing for work done by his hauling company.

Harris' attorney says he plans to appeal.
