Carson's Grandson To Run For Representative Slot
(INDIANAPOLIS) - The special election to fill out the last few months of U.S. Representative Julia Carson’s term, will be held March 11th.
That's the date Republican and Democratic state party official agreed on Friday.
Carson died of lung cancer last month.
Her grandson, City-County Councilor Andre Carson, and Marion County Treasurer Michael Rodman have filed to run in the Democratic caucus.
No one has filed for the Republican caucus yet, but Indianapolis Rep. Jon Elrod and parole officer Wayne Harmon have said they'll run in the primary.
