Annexation Bill Headed To Full Senate

(STATEHOUSE) - The forced annexation bill is going before the full Senate for debate.
It was approved by the Senate's local government and election committee. The measure prohibits municipalities from annexing homes unless the property owners in the territory consent to it in writing.
The committee mainly heard testimony from residents concerned with the recent annexations in Hamilton County. Time constraints prevented members from hearing testimony from elsewhere in the state.
