Tax Exemptions For Churches, Say Lawmakers

(INDIANAPOLIS) - Lawmakers are considering a proposal to amend the state’s constitution to exempt churches from property taxes — even though they are currently exempt.
Republican Senator Patricia Miller of Indianapolis is sponsoring a resolution that would start the process of amending the constitution.
She says there's not a problem now, but says she's concerned for the future.
