(TERRE HAUTE) - A recount has extended Republican mayor-elect Duke Bennett’s margin of victory by three votes.
The recount completed Friday by a court-appointed commission shows Bennett won by 110 votes over Democratic Mayor Kevin Burke.
Burke had asked for a recount shortly after he lost to Bennett by 107 votes among some 12,000 cast in the November 6 election.
