Lugar: Hold Elections In Bhutto's Memory

Last updated on Friday, December 28, 2007

(WASHINGTON, D.C.) - Indiana Senator Richard Lugar says the assassination of former Pakistani Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto puts that country at “a crisis moment.”

Bhutto's opposition party was expected to do well in elections set for January 8.

Lugar says those elections need to go on as scheduled to honor Bhutto's memory.
