(UNDATED) - Indiana’s donations to the presidential candidates have been relatively modest.
Illinois Democrat Barack Obama is the top fundraiser in Indiana, pulling in $268,000 dollars through the end of September. Former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani leads the Republicans with $255,000.
Overall, Hoosiers have donated $1.5-million dollars to the campaign, with Democrats Hillary Clinton and John Edwards and Republicans Mitt Romney and John McCain collecting six figures. Those five candidates plus Republican Fred Thompson ($95,000) account for 90-percent of Indiana's donations.
Favorite son Evan Bayh pulled in just over $4,000 before deciding not to make the race. That's still more than longshots Duncan Hunter, Dennis Kucinich and Mike Gravel put together.
Republican Mike Huckabee has raised just $9,000 dollars here, but the reporting period ended before the former Arkansas governor caught fire in the polls.
Kansas Republican Sam Brownback, who's dropped out of the race, raised more cash in Indiana than Huckabee, Hunter, Kucinich, Gravel, Joe Biden or Chris Dodd.
