Daniels Asks To Hold 7th District Election On Primary Day
Last updated on Saturday, December 29, 2007
(INDIANAPOLIS) - The special election to complete the term of seventh district Congresswoman Julia Carson may be held the same day as Indiana’s primary.
Governor Daniels has asked the state Republican and Democratic chairmen if they'd be willing to do it that way to minimize the cost.
The earliest the election can be held is February 26.
Democrats plan a caucus next month to pick their nominee. Republicans haven't set a date.
