(OXFORD, IND.) - A town councilman in Oxford says two felony convictions could prevent another councilman from taking office.
David Glaspie won a seat on the town council last month. But Councilman Lowell Gardner says Glaspie might not be eligible because of his 1993 convictions for criminal recklessness and intimidation with a deadly weapon.
Gardner says that when Glaspie was hired to work for the town's street and sewer department, the question of criminal convictions never came up.
