8 Days Scheduled For Muncie Recount

(MUNCIE) - Officials will have eight days to complete a recount in Muncie’s mayoral race.
Delaware Circuit Judge Robert Barnet Jr. has scheduled the recount to begin December 12th and be completed by December 20th. A hearing on instructions for the recount is scheduled for today.
Certified results show Republican candidate Sharon McShurley received 6,122 votes in the November election, which Democrat Jim Mansfield won with 6,133 votes. Republican Mayor Dan Canan did not seek re-election after three terms.
