Bush Speaks In New Albany, Trades Barbs With Hill
(NEW ALBANY) - President Bush spoke about the federal budget before a business group in New Albany, Indiana.
Bush has accused the majority Democrats in Congress of failing to send him overdue appropriations bills because they've spent time on less important issues.
Local Congressman Baron Hill returned the favor of accusation by saying he finds it odd and ironic that Bush, who ran in 2000 on being a fiscally responsible conservative, is just now emphasizing fiscal responsibility after, according to Hill, his doing nothing to reign in out-of-control spending.
