State Rep. Murphy Accused Of Hit-And-Run
(INDIANAPOLIS) - State Representative Michael Murphy confirmed Friday his insurance company paid to fix a car hit outside a Downtown Indianapolis bar last month.
28-year-old Laketia Thomas - who wasn't in her car at the time of the crash -- called the accident a hit-and-run. Apparently, witnesses told Thomas the plate number, and Thomas was able to link the number to Murphy - by doing an online search.
She says Murphy first denied hitting her car, but later gave her his insurance information after she threatened to contact the media. Murphy still denies hitting Thomas's car.
By the way, Thomas works for an insurance company.
