Former Army Captain Seeks Congressional Seat

(MISHAWAKA) - A former army captain who works for the U.S. State Department in Iraq has announced that he will seek the republican nomination in Northern Indiana’s 2nd Congressional District, the seat now held by Democrat Joe Donnelly.
Chris Minor of Kokomo announced his candidacy while on a break from his job as a civilian intelligence analyst in Iraq.
He says his assignment will be over by mid-April, a few weeks before next year's primary election.
