City Council Candidate Dies Before Election
Last updated on Monday, October 15, 2007
(NEW ALBANY) - A New Albany city council candidate has died, a month before the election.
It's too late to pull Republican Dick Stewart's name off the ballot -- if he beats incumbent Jeff Gahan, a GOP caucus would choose a councilman.
The 65-year-old Stewart suffered a stroke following a medical procedure.
