Bauer "Mildly Optimistic" About Property Tax Solution
Last updated on Monday, October 22, 2007
(INDIANAPOLIS) — House Speaker Patrick Bauer says he’s “mildly optimistic” legislators will finally come up with a lasting answer to Indiana’s property-tax problems in the upcoming session.
Governor Daniels has said he'll weigh in with a proposal within the next two weeks, highlighted by a constitutional amendment to make sure any relief is permanent.
Bauer (D-South Bend) says he has no idea what to expect.
