Congressman Buyer Praises Petraeus Report On Iraq

(WASHINGTON D.C.) - Indiana congressman Steve Buyer released a statement yesterday praising the report by US Gen. David Petraeus regarding the status of the so-called “surge” in Iraq.
Congressman Buyer called Petraeus' report, "candid and forthright," and said he is pleased with the progress being made in the military conflict.
Congressman Buyer, in his statement, also criticized war critics in Congress saying that since security progress is being made, opponents are now focusing on the lack of political progress in the middle-eastern nation as a reason to remove military involvement.
