Tuesday Do-Not-Call List Enrollment Deadline

(INDIANAPOLIS) - Indiana Attorney General Steve Carter is announcing that Tuesday, August 21st is the next deadline to register for the state’s Do Not Call list.

Those who want their telephone numbers on the list have until midnight Eastern Daylight Time, Tuesday. Benefits of the law will start on October 1st, 2007.

Currently, there are more than 1.8-million phone numbers registered on the Do Not Call list. Those who have already registered need not do it again unless your phone number has changed. The law currently benefits more than 3.5 million people.

To date, more than $1.2 million has been assessed in penalties, violations, and a court judgment. Check out www.attorneygeneral.in.gov for more information.
