Reassessment To Begin In Marion County

(INDIANAPOLIS) - The Department of Local Government and Finance has announced that all property in Marion County will be reassessed.
The official order was made Wednesday following a several step process. It all began with an order several weeks ago from Governor Daniels and included public hearings.
Stephanie McFarland with DLGF says the county has a deadline of February 1st, 2008, to complete the reassessment and must also hire a private contractor to handle the business reassessments. Hopefully, this will lead to other counties receiving reassessments as well.
