(INDIANAPOLIS) — Homeowners in Marion County who paid the huge increases in their 2007 tax bills should get refunds.
That's the word today from the Department of Local Government and Finance. Musgrave says five more counties are starting the process for reassessments, including Jay, Montgomery, Pike, Warren, and Sullivan.
Gibson County is also getting the official order for a reassessment. Those five counties could see a reassessment similar to the one done in Delaware County, examining commercial and industrial property tax rolls.
