Property Tax Protest Rally To Be Held Tonight

(STATEHOUSE) - Another tax protest is set for this evening.
This one is sponsored by State Representative Woody Burton of Greenwood. Burton will lead a rally tonight to repeal property taxes. Burton says the way to eliminate them is through a constitutional amendment and a voter referendum.
The rally is set for 7:00PM at Jonathon Byrd's Cafeteria in Greenwood. Property taxes will also be discussed at another hearing at the Statehouse Center later today.
