Governor's Table Built By State Inmates
(INDIANAPOLIS) - The new conference table in the governor’s office is the product of eight inmates and a staffer from the Westville Correctional Facility in Laporte County.
The 16-foot long table includes a map of the state of Indiana with all 92 counties made of different types of inlaid wood.
It's built from six different types of wood and the base is made of oak. All the wood came from trees on the grounds of the medium-security prison about 30 miles west of South Bend.
