Congressman Warns Of Continued Iraqi Violence

(WASHINGTON, D-C) - Indiana Republican Congressman Dan Burton says the violence in Iraq will not end anytime soon—those thoughts following a car bombing in central Baghdad today— which killed at least six people and wounded 12 others.
The attack happened in the commercial district hours after an overnight curfew in the Iraqi capital in an effort to stem violence in the wake of the Iraqi national soccer team's victory in Sunday's Asian Cup final.
Meanwhile, a relief organization says about 8 million Iraqis - nearly a third of the population - need immediate emergency aid because of the humanitarian crisis caused by the war.
