Young Wants National Forum On Gas Prices

(MILLTOWN) - Senate Minority Leader Richard Young says he’s still waiting for answers on why gasoline prices remain high.
The democratic gubernatorial hopeful says he's received no response to letters he sent nearly three weeks ago encouraging a federal investigation.
Young says he plans to personally contact U.S. Senators Richard Lugar and Evan Bayh, Indiana's U.S. House delegation, and Indiana Attorney General Steve Carter to make his case.
Young says gas prices are a national problem that needs to be addressed in a national forum. He says he's hoping to serve as a catalyst to launch a public debate, and says the investigation could easily be expanded to include other states.
AAA Hoosier Motor Club says Indiana gas prices are averaging $2.93 a gallon, down 55 cents from last month's record high.
