(WASHINGTON, D-C) - Indiana Senator Richard Lugar called for a change in course in Iraq in a speech on the Senate floor Monday.
The top Republican on the Senate Foreign Relations Committee said in his judgment, the country's course in Iraq has lost contact with the United State's vital national security interests in the Middle East and beyond.
Lugar says the current debate on Iraq in Washington has not been conducive to a thoughtful revision of U.S.'s Iraq policy.
