Daniels Undecided On Immigration-Reform Bill

Last updated on Tuesday, June 5, 2007

(INDIANAPOLIS) - Governor Daniels says he hasn’t decided yet whether a white house-backed immigration-reform bill would help or hurt Indiana.

The bill grants illegal immigrants a chance at citizenship after eight years if they pay a five-thousand-dollar fine and haven't broken any other laws.

Negotiators from both parties reached the deal with the white house. Opponents from both parties are trying to sink it.
