(INDIANAPOLIS) - Marion County Republican leaders will not challenge a decision to close polls at the normal closing hour despite reported problems at several polling locations on Election Day.
GOP Chairman Tom John says Republicans instead may seek a special election. County Clerk Beth White took full responsibility for all the problems at local precincts.
White could not say exactly how many precincts had problems, but she says her staff shifted poll workers to different locations to get all the polling sites open.
