(UNDATED) - An Indiana Congressman is joining the fight against a bonus program for senior level officials at the Veterans Affairs Department.
Second District Congressman Joe Donnelly says top V.A. officials are getting the most lucrative performance bonuses in government. The democrat believes the backlog of benefits cases shows gross mismanagement and a lack of priorities. The V.A.'s fiscal year 2007 bonuses are set to be paid in September.
