(STATEHOUSE) - Indiana Governor Mitch Daniels will sign legislation for a raise to state lawmakers.
For the first time since the 1980s, state lawmakers will see an increase in their pay. But, the lawmakers' health insurance packages will be removed.
Those who served a certain amount of time would get lifetime health care on taxpayer dollars. The increase also puts lawmakers' pay in line with those of state judges.
