(STATEHOUSE) - A plan approved by the state Senate would increase enforcement of illegal gambling.
The legislation also includes provisions for hiring 25 more excise enforcement officers and a special prosecutor to handle gambling cases.
The bill would make penalties more severe for those who break the law.
