Weather Radios Required In Mobile Homes, According To Bill
(STATEHOUSE) - The state Senate has passed a bill which would require weather radios in mobile homes.
A 29-to-19 vote passes the so-called "CJ's Bill" back to the House to approve minor changes to its language.
The bill is named after two-year old CJ Martin, who was one of 25 people killed in southern Indiana during a November, 2005 tornado which struck Vanderburgh and Warrick counties.
The bill's author, Evansville Rep Phil Hoy, shared a hug with Martin's mother following the vote.
