State Drink Changing To H2O
(STATEHOUSE) - The state Senate has passed a non-binding resolution changing Indiana’s official state drink.
Senator Dennis Kruse's resolution does not honor the milk drunk by the winner of the Indianapolis 500, but instead lauds the clean water Kruse says the state could not live without.
Kruse says he's been working on the proposal for several years and was alarmed to see studies showing Americans down more soft drinks than they do pure water. He says he is switching his diet and doubts if he drinks so much as a six-pack of cola in a year now.
He adds the state has at least three facilities--in Indianapolis, in Peru and near north Webster--which bottle water.
