Rally To Be Held To Support 'Health Indiana' Plan

(STATEHOUSE) - Individuals and organizations from around the state will today hold a rally at the statehouse to show their support for Governor Mitch Daniels’ Healthy Indiana plan.
Daniels is proposing to use 100 percent of the proceeds from an increase in the tax on cigarettes to improve the health of Hoosiers.
A measure to increase the cigarette tax recently died in the Indiana House, but supporters such as Indiana State Health Commissioner Judy Monroe believe the measure could still be resurrected in this session.
