(LAPORTE) - Former Laporte County Sheriff Jim Arnold will fill the vacancy left by State Senator Anita Bowser, who died earlier this month.
Precinct committee officials representing District 8--which includes parts of Saint Joseph and Laporte counties--voted Sunday for Arnold to serve as her replacement.
