Bill Wants Photo ID To Be Required To Sell Scrap
Last updated on Monday, March 19, 2007
(STATEHOUSE) - An Indiana House bill which goes before the full Senate today would require anyone selling scrap to show a photo ID.
The measure has already cleared the House. The bill was sponsored by Representative Dave Crooks of Washington, who learned of the problem from several rural electric co-ops, whose copper wire has been a frequent target of thieves.
