(STATEHOUSE) - Representative Eric Koch, of Bedford, has co-authored the Telecommunications Privacy Protection Act to allow Hoosier consumers a new level of telecommunications privacy.
Koch says Caller ID spoofing involves transmitting false or misleading caller ID information to unsuspecting victims. House Bill 1046 creates criminal penalties for violators and provides civil remedies for consumers victimized by theses activities.
After some consideration, House Bill 1046 recently passed. Koch serves House District 65 which includes Lawrence, Jackson, Brown and Bartholomew counties.
