State Property Tax Not Axed, Yet!

(STATEHOUSE) - Legislators may cut the property tax this session, but they appear unlikely to abolish it.
Thirteen senators co-sponsored a constitutional amendment to abolish the property tax.
But only the lead author, Logansport Republican Tom Weatherwax, serves on the tax and fiscal policy committee, and he withdrew the proposal after it appeared he might have been the only yes vote.
