(STATEHOUSE) - Some voters undoubtedly think their legislators don’t listen to them, but it may be they just can’t hear them.
For a second year in a row, Purdue's Department of Speech, Language and Hearing sciences conducted free hearing tests at the Statehouse for legislators and anyone else who came by.
Interim department head Robert E. Novak says most of the 40 or so people who stopped by show some hearing loss, but says politicians don't hear any worse than anyone else, the people who get tested usually know there's something wrong.
