(WASHINGTON, DC) - Governor Mitch Daniels is meeting with other leaders in Washington DC during the National Governors Association winter meeting.
Daniels says education and health care are two key topics being discussed by governors from all over the country. The governor says he's asked other leaders about the best way to implement full-day kindergarten.
During the trip, Daniels is touting the benefits of toll road privatization as a way to pay for road construction costs.
The governor is also outlining his cigarette tax plan-- a measure he claims would help thousands of uninsured Hoosiers pay for health care.
