(STATEHOUSE) - Governor Daniels third State-Of-The-State address will be held tonight at 7:00PM.
Daniels says there will be "no surprises" in his speech. He says he's tried to roll out his agenda the last couple of months, including full-day kindergarten, two new toll roads, a low-income health insurance plan, and privatization of the lottery.
House Speaker Patrick Bauer says Daniels will find democratic allies on health insurance and kindergarten, but says there may be disappointment with Daniels' stance on property-tax relief. The governor's budget includes none, and Daniels has called for more local authority to levy other taxes instead.
House Minority Leader Brian Bosma still thinks Daniels is holding something new for the speech, but says the last two addresses made him gasp. Bosma says he doesn't expect that again.
You can hear the governor's State-Of-The-State address in its entirety beginning at 7:00PM on 1340 AM WBIW, Bedford.
