(STATEHOUSE) - Three state representatives from Bedford and Bloomington have authored a bill preventing water from Lake Monroe from being removing and transported to another city.
Republican Eric Koch, from Bedford, and Democrats Peggy Welch and Matt Pierce, from Bloomington say the threat of outsourcing water from Lake Monroe would leave the area without an adequate water supply.
This action is from a proposed 60-mile pipe that would extend from Lake Monroe to Indianapolis.
