(UNDATED) - A newspaper in Greece reports a company from that nation has expressed interest in bidding on a three-decade contract to run the Hoosier Lottery.

The state has not approved legislation to make such a lease possible, but Intralot SA, a gaming systems provider, says it would like the chance.

Governor Mitch Daniels says he'd like potential lessees to fork over a billion dollars up front and $200-million for each year of the lease, should it find legislative approval.
