Gov. Proposal Increases School Funding

(STATEHOUSE) - School funding may see a three-point increase for the next two years if Governor Daniels proposal passes.
This is on top of the money Daniels wants for full-day kindergarten.
The governor's budget plan calls for overall budget increases of 3.8% the first year and 3.3% the second, with most of the new money going to education. 400-million dollars in new money will go to local schools, 164-million to state universities.
Budget director Chuck Schalliol says most other agencies would receive minimal increases.
