Indiana House Speaker Says He'll Work With Governor

(STATEHOUSE) - Presumptive new House Speaker Patrick Bauer says he’ll work together with Republican Governor Mitch Daniels, but he’s warning of some likely areas of conflict.
Bauer says House Democrats will find common ground with Republicans on a new budget, because they have to.
And differences with the Governor on his top priority, full-day kindergarten, appear to center on timing.
But Bauer says Democrats are reviewing ways to stop next month's planned privatization of Medicaid eligibility determinations and will move to set new bidding requirements for other privatizations, like the toll road lease.
