(WASHINGTON, D.C.) - Indiana 6th District Republican Congressman Mike Pence is trying to win the confidence of the Republican Party to lead it in the 110th Congress.
The 47-year-old Columbus native announced his campaign for Republican Leader of the House of Representatives Wednesday by sending a letter to Republican colleagues.
House Speaker Dennis Hastert announced he would not run for leader of House Republicans when Democrats take control in January.
