No Tax For School Supplies
Last updated on Friday, November 10, 2006
(STATEHOUSE) - Lafayette State Senator Ron Alting says he’s got a plan which could affect parents of schoolchildren next fall.
Alting says once the 2007 legislative session begins, he'll introduce legislation which eliminates the state sales tax for school supplies.
Alting's bill would stop the tax from being charged on supplies for four days each August.
