(STATEHOUSE) - Governor Daniels will soon have to look for a new commissioner for the department of transportation.
Tom Sharp, who's headed the department since January of last year, has submitted his resignation.
Daniels says Sharp has a lot to be proud of and says his fingerprint will be on road projects for years to come. Sharp will pack up his belongings and vacate his office at the end of this month.
